Dragon Concept

This was an “Artist workflow” demonstration.

The dragon was sketched for me – in the same scale – in a front and side view.

Using the “Background Image” feature in Blender 3D, you can have the image in the background of the “3D viewport“. That way you can simply trace the sketch with the 3D mesh!

After adding a rock plinth and basic materials, I created the below video by ray-tracing 180 frames with the Blender Internal Renderer.
